The Plan.

Quite uncharacteristically. The ‘plan’ was minimal to none. A loose idea including; renting a car, an apartment with a lake view and seeing where the wind took us.

The Challenge.

Finding food.

One sourced, finding food that was not cheese or bread (although tasty for three meals, the need for green was high after 24 hours of beige). Side note: nothing is open in Switzerland on a Sunday. Like nothing!

The Reality.

Sometimes winging it really does work. Despite coming home with cheese running through our veins, Lake Geneva proved the perfect hunting ground for some absolutely incredible aerial views. It was so hard to pick a favourite. And, out slightly off-piste mission to find the Matterhorn in Zermatt was one of the best drives I’ve experienced. Mountain views to die for and on our arrival the most picturesque alpine resort which we seriously contemplated staying in for the night. There was hours of exploration to be had.
